After Friday’s rain, this morning’s nature walk sounded more lively than usual. Some may be the season? It was mainly more bird chatter than usual. Spotted three nests: one mockingbird in the corner holly(it’s grown huge this last year and the nesting spot is close to 12-14 feet off the ground) plus two finch nests(one in each Boston fern at the outdoor dining porch). These were both areas we had nests last year as well. Pretty sure the mockingbird is the same as last year? Not certain if same finch mates from last year. It’s new to have the ferns nested at same time.
