𝑰 𝒎𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒂𝒅𝒚 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒌. She walked up seemingly from out of nowhere and struck up conversation like we were long lost bffs. Before I knew it, her son had invited us to his birthday party at the park picnic shelter and his mama insisted we come, but no gifts necessary, she just wanted her boy to have friends at his party.

So, we went to this party expecting a low turnout only to find standing room only!! Her boy was smiling ear to ear, delighted by all his new friends. Y’all, his mama wanted him to have an amazing day and she literally had invited 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐄 she’d met at that park for weeks. Weeks guys. Talk about a mother on a mission, yes?

Her husband was kinda right shocked too~especially since he was on grill duty. He was jokingly jabbing her about her birthday bash tactics...ᴀɴᴅ ᴛʜᴇɴ sʜᴇ ᴛᴜʀɴᴇᴅ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛᴏʟᴅ ʜɪᴍ sᴏᴍᴇᴛʜɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ʜɪᴛ ᴍᴇ: “𝐧𝐨, 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭, 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬.” ⠀⠀

Sweet mamas, some days are just gonna be hard. It’s just the plain and simple truth. The laundry piles are taller than your toddler, or maybe even you. Oops, dinner was an afterthought and the budget doesn’t allow for takeaways. Oh, and there’s a child teething or tantruming or both. Or you just received crippling news of illness or job loss or(name your biggest fear).
