And here’s the part that’s easy to forget-Mary was human.
Flesh, bones, heart, and soul human. She couldn’t have known how difficult her yes to God was going to be.
A million instant fears swelling high; but, when it came down to it, she said yes. She had no way of understanding what this lifetime yes would look or feel to walk out. When she said yes to God, though, she understood already knew He was for her, not against her. Even if the world turned their backs, God wouldn’t. She likely understood there was a high chance society would shun her to suffering…but could she ever have imagined how she’d watch her Son suffer.
She still said yes.
