Living missional looks different(breathes different) the older I get. I think I romanticized missionary living-let’s be honest, I idealized and romanticized a lot of how I thought life would look. I dreamed of living in a foreign land and working in a medical clinic, learning and communicating in foreign languages, using the hands and feet given to me to make the world a better place. And honestly, I still idealize utilizing the hands and feet undeservedly bestowed to me to walk out missional living. But, where God has placed me through choice and providence have surprised quite often. How He utilized the medical knowledge learned to assist my son to restored health. How He’d take my broken heart and teach it the foreign language of grace. How my hands and feet would missional graft broken family branches. And while the road at times has felt foreign, it also has felt like an unfolded understanding of home.
