don’t quit

I spent the greater part of Good Friday compressing four years of education onto three printed pages. As I thumbed through the syllabi we used, I spotted a few classes that were tough both mentally and emotionally. Classes that made me want to throw my hands up and surrender because the gap between teaching and understanding felt too far and wide. If I’d thrown my hands up, though, it wouldn’t have been possible to even write a transcript.

I think that’s what the day after the crucifixion must have slightly felt-having been taught but not yet understanding the big picture.

The gap between Friday and Sunday would’ve felt far and wide and yet you’d keep eyes wide open waiting and watching. Keep your eyes wide open, friend. Don’t quit. Sunday is coming.
